For those of you who know me, I'm a bit Bah Humbug about the whole Christmas thing.  Its definitely brought on by the whole concept of joining hoards of others trawling the shops for something to give loved ones.  Most of the stuff on the high street just feels like overpriced tat, so that doesn't help either.

I try and get round this by doing most of my shopping online and from independent shop.  Also I try and stay well clear of town at the weekends.  I am pleased to say that this year I have been super organised (I don't know how that happened!) and bought all my pressies October and November.  I just need to wrap them and get a bit of extra food in. Thankfully my partner shares my dread so we tend to keep things pretty low key.

We don't have a telly and that helps loads.  Most of the panic seems to emanate from the ads on TV and programmes so its nice to cut those out.

This year I've been lucky to be part of the Supporting Handmade However its Made Campaign and that has introduced me to some really lovely UK crafters and their lovely shops.  If you are interested in checking them out, they are all listed in my 'Friends of Woodle Doodle Dandy' tab.

In other news,  I've also been getting back into reading.  I've got a couple on the go at the moment.  I'm reading another Cecelia Ahern book as she makes great train reading, and at night I'm reading the Women in White via my DS.  I've also been designing some more jewellery for my shop.  This fresh lot will be inspired by fruit and berries.  I've already made a necklace and earrings, so I'll have to get taking pics when I next get some decent sunlight.
