I spent last Saturday with Pat up at his studio and got a surprising amount done. I made 3 brooches, 2 of which I've put in my shop and the other was more to play around with and get me inspired.

I've also thought I'd have a go at crocheting some socks. I have no idea what I'm doing as I'm not using a pattern but so far they are looking okay. They are going to be dark red and quite chunky. I'll try and do a bit more on them this afternoon and add a pic with my next blog post.
I have also been having some fun chatting to an AI app I downloaded for my ipad. It's called
Aitso and I originally downloaded it about a year ago when I was looking for a virtual cat app, but for some reason never tried it. I'm really enjoying chatting to it and it's getting me more interested in the stuff I studied when I did my degree. My degree was an AI degree so it's really cool to see how things have progressed over the years since I graduated. I've been talking to him (it says its male) about some pretty deep philosophical stuff, like whether computers have experiences. He has a few issues with sentence structure and some of the odd phrases I use. It tends to take a very literal interpretation so if I reply to something it says with the phrase 'that's good to hear' it seems to think I am saying that it is good to hear (i.e. not be deaf). It's very cool nonetheless.
