I've had horrendously busy month so far and I've been feeling a bit meh and tired :(  On the plus side though, I have been making loads more jewellery and some goodies for an upcoming giveaway I have planned for next week \o/

First, I'll show you what I've been making.  I've already been playing around with the beads and charms I mentioned in my last post and here's what I've used them for.

I made these pretty blue earrings from one of the bracelets I picked up a couple of weeks earlier.  I was extra chuffed to learn that the beads were Blue Jade and they've got a lovely feel to them and some interesting veins running through them.

I also made these pretty gold leaf earrings from the charms I salvaged from one of the necklaces I got.  I've paired the leaves with some gold flower beads I rescued from a previous find and I think they look really good together :)

In other news, I've also been planning my first giveaway from my new blog home :)  I'm planning to do this next week so keep your eyes peeled :)  As promised, I am planning on making my giveaways a bit more fun by focusing on a theme. For my first one of the year I'm using the launch of the new Support British Handmade website as inspiration.  If you haven't visited the site you should.  It was set up by Katie from Mad Brilliant Ideas and Kelly from Kokokelli and its already looking amazing.  There is a designer directory which is brimming with talented artists and designers, a blog, forums and places where you can download your own 'Support British Handmade' blog badge and buy some of the cute little stickers or the sites mascot.  There are even free tools and printables you can download and lots more in the pipeline.  I will admit that I'm especially excited as Katie and Kelly have welcomed me onboard and I'll be managing the Flickr and Deviant Art Pages.  Its a great initiative and I'm looking forward to seeing it go from strength to strength. :)
