After a few weeks off work due to health problems and being on annual leave I went back to work on Monday.  It was a bit of a struggle.  I was the first person in and almost set the alarm off because I'd unlocked the door before I thought 'can I remember the alarm code'.  Luckily my fingers knew the code even if my brain didn't :)

It was great being back and I had a lovely surprize waiting for me - my swap goodies from Jennifer (aka Green Duck).  I made myself a cuppa and got down to the most important job of the day - opening my goodies.

Here's what she made me.

What I got from Jennifer for the Crafty Colours Swap

Bat Keyring, bat necklace (more on in a sec), star earrings, lavender candle and candle holder and some beads that you soak in water and put flowers/plants in.  I love it all but especially the jewellery.  The earrings look really pretty in the light.

My favourite thing was the beaded bat necklace.  It's so cute I made a loud 'squeee' when I opened it :)  His little face is adorable.  Here's a better pic of him.

It will be perfect for where I'm going tomorrow night.  I'm off to an event at our local museum marking the start of an exhibition on goth culture.  I've been interviewed for it so may appear on the video they're showing by the entrance (which I'm a little nervous about).  I'm really looking forward to it and loved being interviewed, (far more than I was expecting).  I could have gone on about Bauhaus, Corpus Delicti, Sisters of Mercy, bats, ankhs, etc all day :)
