Planning for 2012

I've been having a bit of a think about which direction I'd like to take my blog for 2012. I thought I'd set myself some goals for the coming year and see how many I can achieve.

1.  Include some tutorials and recipes.  My aim is to include one a month.  I'm hoping this will get me back into cooking/baking and back into crafting.  Other than make my jewellery for my shop and paint I barely do any other crafting and I used to love it.

Merry Christmas Everyone :)

Just a little post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.  We will be keeping things very low key as I don't really celebrate Christmas as such.  I just enjoy having a few days off and chilling at home with my boyfriend :)  I'll get down to a proper bit of blogging after Christmas but just wanted to wish everyone a happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Solstice or just an enjoyable winter break.

I Haz a Proud :)

Just a little post to share a bit of happy news.  Yesterday I went with my boyfriend to the opening for Herts Open Exhibition at St Albans Museum.  We were at the opening as my boyfriend had entered 3 pieces of ceramic art and all 3 were in the exhibition.  

After everyone has had a good wander round and look at all the work there is the awards part of the event.  Much to my delight my boyfriends name was read out as the winner of the St Albans Museums and Galleries Award \o/  He was chuffed t...

The Dreaded Christmas Strikes Again...

For those of you who know me, I'm a bit Bah Humbug about the whole Christmas thing.  Its definitely brought on by the whole concept of joining hoards of others trawling the shops for something to give loved ones.  Most of the stuff on the high street just feels like overpriced tat, so that doesn't help either.
